Stefania Bonfadelli was one of the most requested lyric coloratura soprano of her generation and performed about sixty roles worldwide in theaters such as the Vienna State Opera, Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Rossini Opera Festival, Bayerische Staatsoper Munich, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Oper Frankfurt, Royal opera House Covent Garden, Tokio opera House Bunka Kaikan among the others, with conductor like Riccardo Muti, Lorin Mazel, Sejij Ozawa, Daniel Oren and with famous directors like Dario Fo, Franco Zeffirelli, Robert Carsen, Luca Ronconi, Jurgen Flimm, Axel Corti.
She recorded La Traviata for TDK with Placido Domingo as conductor and Franco Zeffirelli as stage director.- Rai trade, Le Comte Ory for Deutsche Grammophon, Lucia di Lammermoor TDK, I Puritani for BMG. She teaches singing art in “Accademia Celletti ” of Martina Franca and at “Accademia nazionale d’arte drammatica Silvio D’Amico” in Rome. She is member of Accademia dei Filodrammatici in Milan.
In 2016 she made is new debut as opera director in Auditorium of Tenerife with “Don Pasquale” by G.Donizetti, in 2017 she was invited at Martina Franca Festival as director of “Un giorno di regno” by G.Verdi. In 2017 she made a debut as theatre director in a piece of Terrence McNally “Maria Callas master class”, in a production of Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome. This show is now in tournèe in many italians theatre. In december 2018 she directed “il Viaggio a Reims” in Auditorium Tenerife.
The next directions will be “L’occasione fa il ladro” in Teatro Olimpico di Vicenza and “Maria Stuarda” for Tenerife.
